The Linhay at Lower Chilverton is a converted thatched 17th Century barn situated within the grounds of Lower Chilverton Farm. Lower Chilverton Farm is in the middle of the mid-Devon countryside equidistant between the North and South Devon coastline, Dartmoor and Exmoor. North Dartmoor (Oakhampton) is only about ten miles away. It is an ideal base for walking the moors, relaxing, visiting the local villages and pubs most of which welcome dogs.

The holiday cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms and there is a large fenced outside space to sit, have a BBQ and let the dogs wander The charming rooms have lost none of the original character of the property, retaining many of the original 17th Century beams.

The accommodation is split level, offering good views of the local scenery from the upstairs kitchen and living room. There are 2 double/twin bedrooms and a modern, well equipped bathroom downstairs.

The Linhay has the following rooms:

Bedroom 1 (ground floor):

Double room with king size bed and built-in wardrobe overlooking a small patio and views out towards the fields and fishponds.

Large well-appointed room in keeping with the traditions of the cottage.

Bed linen and towels included and changed weekly.

Bedroom 2 (ground floor):

A large room which can be set up as a twin or super king size double, depending on your requirements. The room overlooks the fields and ponds.

Bed linen and towels included and changed weekly.

Bathroom (ground floor):

Modern bathroom with bath, power shower and WC.

Open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge (1st Floor):

Large kitchen and dining area with cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.

Washing machine and tumble dryer in adjoining building.

Lounge with TV, DVD, free Wi-Fi stereo system and sofa bed.

Living accommodation is on the first floor and is completely glass front to take advantage of views over the local countryside, the wildlife and is at the same level as the barn owl when he passes.

There are three ponds in the garden.
