The Salty Monk offers award-winning and dog friendly accommodation in Sidford near Sidmouth. Our bed and breakfast in Devon is perfect for an unforgettable holiday in a beautiful part of the country.

We have 7 beautifully furnished en suite guest rooms to choose from. All the rooms are individually styled and come with a range of excellent facilities: TV, a beverage tray with homemade biscuits, teas, hot chocolate, freshly ground coffee, herbal teas and fresh milk, Egyptian cotton sheets and a variety of toiletries from H2K. We have a mixture of king, super king and double rooms available. Two ground-floor rooms are also available.

Our guest house allows dogs in 3 of our 7 bedrooms. The dog friendly rooms are on the ground floor and come with their own access to an outside area, making early dog walking far easier. We have dog friendly and dog-free areas in our guest house. Dogs are welcome to stay with you for dinner and breakfast providing they are on a lead. We also provide a lovely doggie hamper and doggie gifts are available for £10 each.

The Salty Monk's restaurant has achieved the distinction of two AA Rosettes. We are also recommended in The Good Food Guide & Michelin. We offer the finest and freshest food, using as much organic ingredients sourced from the West Country, where possible. We only use small, artisan and independent suppliers and farmers, giving you a sumptuous dining experience.
