Details

Woodyhyde Campsite is set in the heart of the beautiful Purbeck countryside. Our campsite is a large 13 acre rural site spread across 3 separate fields.

Our campsite does not have marked pitches which creates a very relaxed, spacious feel. We give freedom to our visitors to pitch wherever they prefer. Dogs are very welcome on two of the camping fields but unfortunately, the campsite cannot accommodate caravans.

On our large 13 acre rural site we have 3 separate fields. There are no pitches marked out instead we like to create a relaxed atmosphere so visitors can pitch up where they prefer. Dogs are welcomed in fields 1 and 2 but not in field 3.

We now have 60 electrical hook-up points available in fields 1 and 2, 20 of which have hard standings for camper vans. Hookups need to be booked in advance. We feel all the necessary facilities are available to ensure you have a comfortable and pleasant stay.

In addition to the existing shower block, we have a brand new block with 18 showers, 4 toilets and 16 basins. Disabled facilities are also provided. 11 separate sinks for washing up and a chemical disposal point are available. As mentioned there are 60 Electric hook up points available on site - please indicate when booking if you require one.

Our shop, open twice daily, stocks most of the items that you might need. We sell a wide range of general supplies, equipment for all your camping needs and ice pack hire. Along with some fresh food, basic provisions and equipment for a BBQ.

The location of our campsite makes it suitable for all types of holiday or come just for a weekend to chill out. From the campsite, there are footpaths leading directly to the Purbeck Hills and the coastal paths on the outstanding Jurassic Coast. Anybody camping looking for a less strenuous day out, then the beautiful award winning beaches of Swanage and Studland are close by.

The Isle of Purbeck is designated as a "World Heritage Site" for its Jurassic Coast, recognised as one of the worlds most geologically important places on the planet, also rated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The campsite is a great base for your holiday with the great beaches of Studland and Swanage close by with miles of golden sand to relax or play on!

Ideally situated for people who enjoy a more active break, there are a number of walks in the Purbeck countryside or along the magnificent Jurassic coastline making use of the popular South West Coast Path.

Other activities within easy reach include boating, diving, riding, fishing and cycling.

Fancy a family day out then you could take a trip on the Swanage Railway which runs past the front of the campsite. You can even catch the train at Harmans Cross which is just a 20 minute walk following a footpath from the site.

Maybe visit Corfe Castle or how about the interesting Monkey World Centre. Need to keep the kids entertained then the campsite is also near the Putlake Adventure Farm.
