Details

Barstobrick holiday lodges are located on a dairy farm run by the Austin family in Dumfries and Galloway, South West Scotland. Onsite there is a coffee shop, walking trails and a horse riding centre. The lodges at Queenshill are pet friendly offering the opportunity to bring up to two cats or dogs as well as horses. We have stabling, grazing and miles of off road hacking. These lodges sleep 1-4 guests with accommodation comprising one double room, one single or bunk room, a shower room and an open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The lodges back onto a walled garden and their peaceful and tranquil location make them perfect for a relaxing escape.

Guests can arrange for breakfast hampers to be delivered to their lodge (additional charge) or enjoy a cooked breakfast in the coffee shop (a 30 minute walk from Queenshill or 2 minutes by car).

The walking trails can be joined right outside the lodges and maps are provided. The clue sheet for the Galloway Faerie Trail can be purchased in the coffee shop which is located close to the horse-riding centre and offers lessons or treks to suit all ages and abilities (booking is advised - 07864092037).

Picturesque Kirkcudbright, known as the ‘Artist’s town’, is just six miles away where you will find a supermarket for supplies and several cafés, restaurants and shops.

Dumfries is 25.2 miles from Barstobrick, while Cairnryan (Irish ferry port) is 53.4 miles away. Glasgow Prestwick Airport is 55.9 miles away.
