Holmpark Holiday Cottages offers fantastic self catering accommodation in the East bank off the River Cree. Our family-run cottages are only a 300-metre stroll from the town centre and amenities. The cottages in Dumfries & Galloway are in a private yard, with a spacious communal garden to enjoy. We are ideal for a tranquil holiday in a lovely part of the country.

Our 4-purpose built cottages are identical, comfortable and come with a range of facilities to suit all your needs. No5 (Gate Cottage) is the original farm cottage and has been renovated to a high standard. No 6 (River Cottage) is smaller but cosy, including one twin bedroom, a shower room and dining/kitchen area. From the living area you can savour glorious views over the River Cree.

All the cottages come with Freeview TV, a DVD player and Wi-Fi connection. All heating, electric and bedding (duvets) are included in the price.

We ask you to supply your own towels but can supply for a small fee (£10) if needed. There is a larger shower in all the cottages except River cottage which is standard size. Additionally, there is a communal free laundry and heated drying room as well as outdoor drying in the garden.

This local area has lots of brilliant off and on-road biking routes to enjoy whilst admiring the stunning scenery. Sea, coarse and salmon fishing is available in the area, whilst only 25 minutes away are 7 golf courses. Historic sites, castles, sub-tropical gardens and Galloway Forest Park are all accessible by car. A stone’s throw away in Newton Stewart you can try one of the superb restaurants or catch a viewing at the cinema. Great attractions to visit include:
