Herons Park is a family run business situated near Lydd which offer sites of special scientific interest and English nature. We have a wonderful spacious venue set within the grounds overlooking the lake.

Camping at Herons Park has never been so easy, simply book online and choose your favourite pitch in our designated field, now including pitches with electric hookup, with on-site facilities to include our toilets, free showers, wash-up station and our reception with a small selection of goods for sale. We offer pitches for motorhomes, tourers and tents of all sizes, if you’re unsure if we can accommodate you please get in touch with us. For a touch of luxury, you can also stay in our glamping bell tents or self-contained suite.

We allow well-behaved, non-aggressive dogs but ask that they are kept away from the front fishing lake and of course that owners clear up any mess they might make! If your dog is likely to wander please make sure you keep he/she on a lead at all times, please bear in mind not everyone likes dogs.

Please be aware that this is very much a family campsite and our busy season sees the field full of families and large groups with young children especially during term time and bank holidays but we do ask all of our campers to be considerate of others and reduce noise levels at appropriate times, these times are 23:00-08:00.

During the daylight hours, campers are welcome to walk around the fishing lake area adjacent to the camping field, but swimming is strictly not allowed at any time and access during night time hours is prohibited. If you would like to have a paddle or the kids would like to go pond dipping (under the express supervision of a responsible adult of course!), then speak to us about what areas may be used for this.

You can’t go camping without a campfire and we do have a few off the ground, portable fire pits for your use (on a first-come, first-served basis), wood and kindling bags for sale on site. We even have a small supply of camping chairs that can be rented for the duration of your stay with a small deposit, as well as a Petanque lane and balls to hire up on the large patio.
