Tunnel Cottages at Blean-nant-y-groes Farm are at the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Our farm is just a short distance from the centre of Aberdare in Glamorgan. We offer the finest selection of personally inspected holiday cottages throughout Aberdare. Access to the farm is via a drive which sweeps up and away from the cottages of Cwmbach to a position of elevated tranquillity. Behind the farm is a three acre broadleaf wood and open fields which border the 'nant' (stream) which supplies our water. Conifer forests gradually give way to the upland splendour of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Residents can enjoy this private wood which has direct access to the upland areas behind the farm which are classified "open country". All properties have a modern bathroom, cooker, dishwasher, sink, microwave, hairdryer, television, Hi-Fi, safe, broadband internet access and outdoor barbeque area.

A laundry room’s available for washing muddy clothes and drying muddy boats and equipment. Underfloor heating warms the ground floor Blue pennant flagstone floors and the first floor finished floorboards.

The farm is blessed with many woodland birds including green and spotted woodpecker, jay as well as swallows - which raise their young in the stables during the summer. Buzzards and red-kite patrol the skies by day and of course owls by night.

All manner of small animals and rabbits share natures table with squirrels and foxes. There is a goat paddock and Shetland ponies graze the fields. Occasionally the neighbouring farm's Highland cattle are brought in to graze.
