Maytime Cottage is located near the southern tip of the Isle of Wight, the cottage offers exceptionally spacious self catering holiday accommodation for up to 5 people. It is set in in open countryside, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just one mile from the village of Whitwell and four miles from the Victorian resort of Ventnor.

Maytime Cottage has a large living area comprising 3 main reception rooms, a sitting room, a large kitchen/diner and a further garden room opening onto the patio and rear garden. The kitchen is fully equipped and has the benefit of washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave as well as electric hob and oven, fridge and separate freezer.

There is a bathroom and WC upstairs and also a shower room and WC on the ground floor. The sleeping accommodation is in 3 upstairs bedrooms. the first a large double room with double bed, the second is also a double room with a single bed and a set of 3ft bunk beds. The third bedroom is a single room with one single bed. Bed linen is provided for up to six people. There are also wood burning stoves in the front living room and dining area for the less warm times of the year.

Maytime Cottage is set in the valley of the River Yar between St Catherines Down to the West and Stanbury Down to the East. The cottage is approximately 1.5 miles inland, just north of the villages of Whitwell & Niton. Whitwell, has a good pub and a petrol station, while Niton has a selection of local shops and two pubs. The Victorian resort of Ventnor is approximately 4 miles away. Other local places to visit include Blackgang Chine, Appledurcombe House and Falconry Centre and St Catherines Lighthouse.

Fine country views with easy access to beaches and walking trails right from the door make Maytime Cottage a perfect base; and with the multitude of activities and attractions on the Island, whether you prefer golf, surfing, horse-riding, paragliding, or just relaxing and taking in the scenery, you can tailor your holiday to suit your own tastes.
