Island Riding Centre on the outskirts of Newport offers superb self catering accommodation in a range of properties. Our riding centre on the Isle of Wight is the perfect destination to bring your four-legged friend or horse, with a range of excellent facilities for horse riders available onsite.

We are set in 50 acres of countryside, centrally located and in easy reach of all main attractions and beaches. Children will love seeing our farm animals and we have a playground and cafe too. We have an array of newly built and period cottages available in a Victorian barn conversion, some of which are dog friendly. Each property is stylishly furnished and nestled around a tranquil courtyard. All the cottages are fully accessible. We are eco-friendly with solar panels and rain water harvesting system and have complimentary electric car chargers for guests too.

Each cottage is well-equipped to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible: relaxing living areas with Freeview TV, fully-equipped kitchens for home-cooking, attractive bedrooms and modern bathrooms. Our dog friendly properties also have magnificent oak beams and enclosed gardens for your dogs to stretch their legs in.

Frankel: This charming cottage comes with period beams and sleeps 4 people in a master king en suite and a twin en suite which can be converted into a king. The cosy lounge comes with a smart TV with access to Netflix/Amazon to catch your favourite show on.

Red Rum: Our gorgeous, beamed cottage sleeps 4 in a master king en suite overlooking the garden and a twin/king en suite room. The modern kitchen includes a range of appliances and the lovely lounge has a smart TV with access to Netflix/Amazon.

Valegro: This dog friendly cottage is great for groups looking for somewhere special to stay and sleeps 6 in a master double room, twin room and a bunk room. All the rooms share a main bathroom with a shower over the bath. On the ground floor there is a further shower room and WC. The lounge includes a smart TV with Netflix/Amazon and outside there is a private patio with French doors which open onto the lounge/dining area.

Our riding centre has 5* equestrian facilities, including an indoor 60m x 25m sand school and an outdoor 60m x 40m sand school. For guests bringing their horse on holiday we offer a livery with stable, turn out, horse walker, hot wash and solarium. We are also a Pony Club Centre and are members of the Association of British Riding Schools. Whether it is lessons, beach hacks, trail rides or onsite hacks, we can cater for a range of horse-riding needs.

Onsite we also have a cafe, restaurant and children’s playground.
