Red House Farm Cottages are situated just outside of the village of Glaisdale in the Esk Valley near Whitby in North York Moors National Park. We offer three self catering cottages sleeping 2 - 4 people.

The Old Sheaf Store: Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. 1 Pet welcome. Ground floor: Two double bedrooms, each with TV and wash basin. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. Stone spiral stairs to first floor: Living room with wood-burning stove, rugs on polished wooden floor, well equipped modern fitted kitchen/dining area and exceptional views.

The Threshing Barn: Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. 1 Pet welcome. Sitting room with wood-burning stove, dining area and arch to the well-equipped modern fitted kitchen area. Stone spiral stairs to first floor: Double bedroom with TV and wash basin. Twin bedroom with TV. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

The Hayloft: Sleeps 2 people. Sorry, no pets in here. Exterior stone staircase to entrance on first floor: Beamed living room with wood-burning stove and vaulted ceiling and arch to well-equipped handcrafted kitchen with dining area. Double bedroom area. Bathroom with whirlpool bath, over-bath shower, bidet and toilet.

Walking and sightseeing are the most popular activities for the area, but we are happy to arrange or provide contact numbers for fishing, riding or mountain bike hire. If you wish to fish for salmon or sea trout, it is wise to book in advance during the autumn. Although there are sections of the river open to the public, these tend to get heavily used when the salmon are running.

Or take a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from Grosmont to Pickering. With its magnificent steam engines and beautiful rural stations, it´s like taking a step back in time--a holiday you won´t forget!
