The Moors Inn is situated in the beautiful historic North Yorkshire village of Appleton-le-Moors. We are just a short drive from Kirkbymoorside in the beautiful North York Moors National Park. The inn has been trading since the 17th Century and is a lovely, traditional base for those wishing to discover the area's many attractions.

We have 7 en suite rooms for bed & breakfast, comprising of 5 doubles & 2 twins. All guest bedrooms have showers, tea & coffee making, shaver points & hairdryers. Room 7 has a bath and if you prefer this room, please ask.

Our food is traditional and we aim for the highest quality, everything we serve is homemade on the premises. Our Chefs are passionate about sourcing the finest local fresh vegetables and salad and our local farmers and gamekeepers keep us supplied with Yorkshire meat. Of you any dietary requirements please let us know before dining with us and we will do our utmost to cater for you.

Our inn has a fine selection of real ales as well as a superb gin and whiskey collection as well as some quality wines.

The village of Appleton-le-Moors, lesser known than it’s neighbours Hutton-le-Hole and Lastingham is one of the few villages in the UK which retains it’s medieval layout, with one main street and two back lanes, one of which you can access through our back garden. There are many walking and biking routes in the local area and we would be happy to recommend some to you, so you can maximize your stay in the area.
