Our stunning, Grade II Listed property comes with an array of high-quality facilities to suit all your needs, great for a family or group looking for somewhere special to stay. You can visit a range of wonderful attractions in the historic city of York or roam around the gorgeous North Yorkshire countryside.

Reported to be the oldest property in the village, our magnificent house still has many original features to enjoy, mixing old and new perfectly to offer elegant accommodation. A focal point of the house is the modern glass-roofed extension which includes a large open plan conservatory kitchen/sitting room.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a gorgeous, pitched glass, conservatory roof which is operated by remote-controlled openers. The kitchen has been finished to the highest standard by Thompson’s of York in Carrara marble and Bird’s Eye walnut. You can relax in two cosy sitting rooms after a day sightseeing. The little red room is laid out as an office whilst the little green sitting room has a TV and DVD player. A utility room leads to a WC.

Our house sleeps 6 people in four sumptuous upstairs bedrooms, including a king en suite, double, twin and a fourth room which can cater for a cot or a further mattress on the floor. A separate bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC. All bed linen and towels are included.

You can relax with a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the delightful walled garden.

Sutton-on-the-Forest is a quintessential English village with a lovely Anglican church and Georgian brick cottage. You savour some wonderful homemade food at Miss Daisy’s Tearooms or visit Sutton Park, a stunning 18th Century property with gardens opposite us. Sutton Estate has woodland and open fields for beautiful dog walks and in York you can visit York Minster.
