Seagull Cottage offers superb self catering accommodation on the old east side of Whitby, based on Saltpanwell Steps. Just a short walk down the steps from the cottage takes you to the harbourside, making us the ideal location for exploring this unique town in North Yorkshire.

Our gorgeous Grade II listed cottage dates from the 18th Century and is a former fisherman’s cottage. Downstairs there is a cosy lounge with leather sofas and an open fire for the winter months. A well-equipped kitchen/diner comes with solid beech worktops, a cooker/hob and fridge.

Stairs lead to a spacious twin room with a family bathroom. Further stairs lead to a double bedroom with dormer windows which take advantage of the views over the moors.

Outside there is a fully enclosed level decking area with seats, a table and BBQ for al fresco dining whilst savouring the harbour views.

Whitby is set on the River Esk and is a delightful coastal town to wander around in. There is pretty old cottages, shops, pub, restaurants, magnificent old Victorian houses and much more. superb attractions to visit include:
