Middlehead Cottages offers fabulous self catering accommodation in Stape. We are based in 6 acres of gorgeous gardens, a wildflower meadow and grass paddocks near Pickering, perfect for a relaxing break in North Yorkshire.

We have 4 large cottages to choose from, based in a beautiful farmland setting. We offer free fishing in our quarter-acre pond which is stocked with double-figure carp, tench, perch, gudgeon, roach, koi carp and sturgeon.

Each cottage is well-equipped and includes log burners, solid oak floors, fully-equipped kitchens, dining areas, bathrooms and flat-screen TVs with satellite. Each cottage has a garden area with outdoor furniture, great for a glass of wine in the afternoon sun. Soak yourself in the hot tub.

Meadows’ Edge:

Our cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 en suite twin/super king bedrooms. There is an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area with a large fireplace with a wood-burning stove.

Brock Cottage:

This cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 en suite bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin/super-king bedroom. There is an LCD TV/DVD player and a cream-painted country kitchen.

Middlehead Cottage:

Our cottage has 3 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 king/2 singles and 1 single. The rooms share a bathroom with a shower over the bath. A lovely lounge has a log burner, TV and DVD player. The kitchen is well-equipped.

Willows’ End:

This cottage sleeps 5 people in 2 en suite twin/super king bedrooms and 1 single room. There is a separate bathroom. The beamed lounge has an LCD TV and a DVD player. The kitchen includes a Range master cooker and a dining table.

We are in a great spot for discovering all that the local area has to offer. Enjoy beautiful walks around the North York Moor National Park or visit the National Trust houses, gardens and villages. Attractions to visit include:
