St Aidan Hotel, Seahouses, Northumberland
St Aidan Hotel offers bed & breakfast accommodation set on the seafront of Seahouses. It has unrivalled, magnificent panoramic views of the Farne Islands to the East and sweeping views of the rugged coastline and the castles of Bamburgh and Lindisfarne to the north.
All of our rooms have stunning sea views. Ranging from ground floor, annexe room, 1st floor and 2nd floor luxury rooms. We have 8 rooms in total, standard, deluxe and luxury. Popular choices with dog owners are the ground floor standard room and the deluxe in the annexe, both giving good access to outside for the dogs.
Our bistro and bar offer unbeatable sea views towards the Farne Islands plus Bamburgh and Lindisfarne Castles. The bar area is dog friendly. At this hotel we are always happy to try and accommodate guests with special dietary requirements.
A short stroll along the seafront takes you to the harbour, which is the hub of Seahouses. In years gone by, an active fishing fleet worked from here but, more recently, most of the boats run trips to the Farne Islands, once famous for Grace Darling’s rescue, now a bird sanctuary and home to a large seal colony. Puffin season is April – August. There are boats that allow dogs on board, should you wish to see the puffins.
For the more energetic, Bamburgh Castle can be reached by walking along the white sand beach seen from our windows.
