Border Forest Holiday Park offers superb self catering accommodation in Cottonshopeburnfoot near Otterburn. We are based right on the Kielder Forest and have a 30-acre field for dog walks. Further afield you can visit lots of attractions on The Pennine Way.

We have 2 cottages and 1 lodge to choose from. Our ground-level properties include a well-equipped kitchen and beautiful en suites.

Firtree Cottage

Our bijou-style semi-detached property comes with 1 double en suite with a shower. The well-equipped kitchen/diner included an electric oven, gas hob, cleave, fridge and dishwasher. In the living area, there is an electric wood burner, Freeview TV, DVD player and iPod dock. There is direct access to Kielder Forest. Outside there is a small, enclosed garden with grandee furniture for al fresco dining.

Stable Cottage

This cottage comes with a living area including an electric wood burner, Freeview TV, DVD player and iPod dock. The fully equipped kitchen/diner area has an electric oven, gas hob, cleave, fridge and dishwasher. The bedroom has twin beds and the bathroom comes with a shower over the bath. Outside there is a small enclosed garden with grandee furniture. There is direct access to Kielder Forest.

Puffin Lodge

Our lodge is based at the top corner of the park and offers a modern style. There is 1 king en suite with a shower. The open plan living space includes a lounge, dining and kitchen area. Doors open to the decking area that offers views over the border forest burn.

Otterburn is a small village steeped in history with plenty of tranquil walks and a selection of local shops and pubs. Northumberland National Park, covering more than 400 square miles with its clear air, clean waters and dark skies, is also one of England's most tranquil locations. Attractions to visit include:

Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens.

Housesteads Roman Fort – Vercovicium.

National Trust – Cragside.

Northumberland Zoo.

Simonside Hills.
