West Shaird Farmhouse provides superb self catering accommodation near the charming village of St. Margaret's Hope. Our property enjoys outstanding views over Sandwick Bay and is a great base for touring Orkney.

Our magnificent farmhouse is great for a relaxing break in a glorious setting, surrounded by stunning farmland. The large holiday home has a cosy sitting room with a coal fire and a living room with a multi-fuel stove, both great places for relaxing after a day exploring the area. Cook up a feast in the fully-equipped kitchen which has a washing machine, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer.

Upstairs there are 3 attractive bedrooms: 1 double room, 1 twin room and a small bedroom with a bunk bed. The rooms share a shower room with a toilet and wash hand basin, whilst a further shower room and WC are downstairs.

Outside there is a lovely, enclosed back garden and a large front lawn. You can also dine al fresco on the picnic table in the afternoon sun.

The delightful village of St. Margaret's Hope is a scenic place to explore, with lots of brilliant walking and cycling routes in the area. The village also has two shops, a Post Office and several places to eat out or take away, a tennis court, golf course, bowling green, playpark, soft play and a museum.
