Nearby is Offas Dyke, Britain’s longest archaeological monument, built in the 8th century to mark the boundary between Wales and England, and Glyndwe’s Way, a national trail, running through Mid-Wales, from Knighton on the English border to Machynlleth on the Dovey Estuary and then on to Welshpool on the English border. Activities such as cycling, fishing and golfing can all be found in the surrounding areas. A fabulous location for bird watchers with many Red Kite feeding centres to be found. Within easy driving distance of both the charming market town of Newtown and Knighton with its many individual shops.
