Details

Baskerville Hall is situated in Hay-on-Wye in Powys. Over the years we have hosted many various events at the Hall which have made it so fun to be a part of the history of this wonderful building and its setting.

27 en suite rooms ranging from executive style splendour through standard rooms and budget rooms all with the trimmings you would expect, tea and coffee facilities in each room, TV, direct dial telephones and all rooms are en suite. If creature comforts are not an integral part of your stay dormitory accommodation is available.

The building is set in 130 acres of Welsh countryside overlooking the Wye Valley on the edge of the Brecon Beacons and Black mountain National Park. Hay on Wye, famous for its second hand book shops and Festival of Literature and Art, is just over a mile away nestled beside the river Wye.

On our doorstep we have one of the best playgrounds for those wishing to sample what the great outdoors has to offer, with mountains for gorge walking, pony trekking and the river Wye for Canoeing, with many more activities and places of interest to visit for the athletic or the gentler hearted alike.

Our restaurant is open each evening with good home cooking on offer, booking in advance is advised.

The indoor heated swimming pool and sauna is a great place to relax after your busy day or just relax in the residents bar before dinner.

The Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) was first designated in 1971 - the same year as Britain went decimal, hot pants were banned at Ascot and 'The Italian Job' hit the big screen. It's one of 40 AONBs in England and Wales, which together with National Parks, are specially protected. As areas of our finest and most treasured countryside it has been decided it is in the national interest to safeguard them.

Starting at its source in Plynlimon the river meanders 154 miles through Wales entering England near Hay-on-Wye. From here it heads through the plains of Herefordshire and returning to Wales at Monmouth, eventually meeting the River Severn at Chepstow. Abundant wildlife makes the valley a must for explorers with the more dramatic hills and mountains of the upper Wye creating stunning scenery.

£5 per pet per night in the hotel and £1 per pet per night if camping.
