The cottage sits on the edge of Ben’s Wood, a small wood that has been coppiced so it is light and airy with dappled sun and bluebells in the spring time. In front of the cottage the ground gently slopes down to the field and the stream, with views to the far hills. In the wood are several bird boxes, home to a variety of birds including woodpeckers, tree creepers and blue tits.
