Beacon Park Boats offers 5-star, luxurious boating holidays on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal, nestled in the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. Based at our Wharf in Llangattock near Crickhowell, our unique boating holiday is the perfect way to explore all the natural beauty Powys has to offer.

We have a fabulous fleet of 20 narrowboats available, offering a scenic way to see pretty canal-side villages, amazing mountains and magical wildlife. All the canal boats enjoy an individual style and offer sumptuous furnishings and facilities. Each narrowboat is rated 5 star and available for hire between March to October. The boats sleep 8 people and include luxurious beds, stunning shower rooms, high-spec kitchens, central heating and free Wi-Fi. Some boats also have an open fire to keep you toasty in the winter months.

From November to March, you can also stay in of our two outstanding narrowboats which are permanently moored in private spots at our Wharf in Llangattock. Based in a brilliant location, this is just a short stroll from the charming market town of Crickhowell. Wonderful features include a superb 5’ double bed with crisp white bed linen, central heating, a wood-burning stove or log effect gas fire, gorgeous shower room, high-spec kitchen and free Wi-Fi.

For those who are new to boating, we provide a range of services to make your holiday as easy and relaxing as possible. We can offer you a bow thruster, a device where jets of water help move the front of the vessel sideways with a push of a button. You can use learn about boating from our bespoke information pack and before you set off, you can take a practice cruise, plus an emergency helpline is always available. You can even hire a skipper for the day, ideal for those who don’t feel confident enough. They can provide as much or as little help as you need – please enquire for details.

The Monmouthshire and Brecon canal is located entirely within the Brecon Beacons National Park and offers breathtaking views of the natural landscape while cruising. It also passes through the Blaenavon World Heritage Site and an array of quaint villages and historic market towns. You can stop off at Brecon and visit its 12th Century cathedral or enjoy the range of independent shops in Crickhowell. Alternatively, from our Wharf, walk to The Old Rectory Golf Club or cycle along the canal towpath.
