Spring Heath Log Cabins & Fishery is a lovely site located in rural Shropshire, offering well appointed pet friendly cabins, a caravan park and on site fishing. We are situated just outside of Knockin and are a short drive from the bustling town of Oswestry. Our ten acre site boasts superb views over the two beautiful lakes.

The cabins are individually hand crafted using whole Douglas Fir tree trunks, they have been built using traditional post and beam construction, as used in traditional Canadian log cabins. They even have grass covered roofs to act as insulation. We have two log cabins which over look the fishing pools, each cabin is divided into two spacious semi detached holiday lets. Two sleep 6 people and two sleep 4. We also have a 6 person hot tub, sauna & BBQ area, just 20 metres from cabins 2 or 3. This facility can be booked exclusively for your stay!

We have two fishing lakes situated in 10 acres of low lying meadow and woodland provides a peaceful and tranquil setting for the carp fisherman and coarse angler alike. Although initially man made, care has been taken to make the carp and coarse lakes look both natural and attractive and they have islands which help attract a variety of wildlife and are spring fed. They are unlike many commercial fisheries, as the pools are not over fished which generally allows the guests to enjoy the views, nature and of course the fishing. There is an abundance of wildlife such as Kingfishers, Buzzards, Merlin, Herons and Water Voles.

Knockin has its own shop, pub (aptly named after the Earl!), church and cricket club and is situated between the historic towns of Shrewsbury and Oswestry.

We are a dog friendly site and welcome up to two well behaved dogs per cabin for a small charge. There is an outside kennel for the exclusive use of Cabin 2, a cleaning fee is charged if used.
