Ashe Farm in Thornfalcon is a quiet informal family run caravan and camping site part of a working farm situated near Taunton between the Quantock and Blackdown Hills in Somerset. The six acre site has two sheltered meadows with lovely views of the hills and an atmosphere of peace and seclusion. Towing approach from the M5 motorway is straightforward and the site is easy to find at the end of your journey.

There are electric hook-ups in both of the camping fields. The first field has a number of hard standings and a fully equipped toilet/shower block with disabled facilities and a laundry.

The campsite is open from the beginning of April until the end of October, Ashe Farm Caravan & camp site offers a tennis court nearby and play area for children. There is a marked walk way around the farm with magnificent views of the surrounding hills and vale.

Pets are welcome on the campsite.

Although advisable during peak season, booking is not essential out of peak season, just turn up and choose your own pitch.

Food can be enjoyed at ‘The Nag’s Head’, a popular inn just five minutes stroll from the site, as well as having pubs at Stoke St Mary and West Hatch, also within walking distance.

Willowbank, Willowbrook and Fieldview are our three holiday caravans on our working farm. They are situated near the 16th century farmhouse overlooking the pond.

Willow Bank and Field View sleep six in one double bedroom and two twin bedroom. Willow Brook has two bedrooms, a double and a twin room. They are fully equipped with hot water, shower, toilet, fridge, gas cooker, heater and colour TV. Gas is supplied but electricity has a £1 coin meter.

Duvets and pillows are provided but please bring your own linen and towels.

Somerset’s county town of Taunton is three miles from the farm. It has a good shopping centre with major supermarkets and department stores, ten pin bowling, golf courses, the Brewhouse Theatre, Odeon Cinema and swimming and sports facilities. Taunton is also home to Somerset County Cricket Club and the Racecourse.

To the north are the Quantocks. Bishops Lydeard, a village just North West of Taunton is the starting point for the West Somerset Railway, which runs regular steam services through the beautiful Quantock country side and along the coast to Minehead.
