Cheddar Petruth Paddocks is where you go if you simply want to "get away from it all" and chill-out, based in Cheddar in a beautiful countryside setting. Further afield you can visit a range of great attractions in Somerset.

Our wonderful campsite offers a true home from home, a place with few rules where children can have fun, campfires are allowed and music can be listened to. You'll wake up to wonderful views - overlooking the Mendip Hills one way and out towards the levels the other - the ideal place to unwind in after a few days out of the rat race.

This relaxed camping and glamping site offers pitches for campers and tourers, including some electric hard standing pitches. You have the freedom to pitch your tent wherever you fancy on the spacious camping fields. Donít worry though, couples wonít be put next to a big family etc.

You can also enjoy a touch of luxury in our wonderful glamping options. Our gorgeous shepherd huts are beautifully built and come with either 2 or four double mattresses, electric points and full bedding. We also have magical bell tents to stay in, offering the perfect blend of outdoor and indoor living. Just bring your bedding.

You can also enjoy a unique getaway in our glorious Gypsy Bowtops. These 3 caravans are beautifully furnished and come with a bow top coat cupboard and a table that seats four. In the kitchen area youíll find a small worktop, kettle and shelving.

Onsite facilities include toilets and shower facilities. In total, we have 28 individual cubicles for toilets and 12 individual compartments for showers. We also have washing up facilities, water points and grey/black water waste facilities. You can also grab some essentials at reception.

Starting from our gate, stroll or cycle along the Strawberry line for 15 minutes and you're in Cheddar Gorge or why not continue on and take the old railway line path to Yatton, recalling how different life must have been with trains hauling strawberries from the slopes of Cheddar to the early morning markets in East London over half a century ago. Brilliant attractions to visit include:

Cheddar Gorge.
Black Rock Nature Reserve.
Mendips Raceway.
Cheddar Wood.
Cheddar Gorge Walk Path.
