Bucks Farm Holiday Cottages are situated on a farm overlooking Suffolk's lovely Blyth Valley, offer pet friendly self catering holiday accommodation in Cookley, near Halesworth. Located along a country lane and its own private drive, our holiday cottages are perfect for those who like their holidays just a little off the beaten track and perfect for dog walks.
Bucks Farm's four holiday cottages created from superbly renovated brick built barns; the cottages form a courtyard with flower beds, in an elevated position, with south facing views over the stunning Blyth Valley.
Each self catering holiday cottage is centrally heated and has a wood burning stove to create a really cosy atmosphere at any time of the year. They also have French doors leading to their own private, south-facing patios with furniture and barbecues. The cottages feature a high standard of facilities, including a fridge, cooker, microwave, television, DVD and dishwasher. There is also free Wi-fi throughout.
Bucks Farm has its own heated indoor swimming pool, fitted with the latest dehumidification system to create the ideal atmosphere for a relaxing swim. Patio doors lead to a sheltered sun terrace.
There is a large, separate lawn and nearby paddocks where some of the farms animals can be visited. Younger visitors might like to help to collect eggs and help with feeding. The cottages have been decorated in a country style and are carefully and comfortably fitted.
Other facilities available at these self catering holiday cottages include table tennis, a small snooker table, children's toys, videos and DVD's in the games room. High chairs, cots and stair gates are available, and we have two camp beds to provide extra capacity in the cottages. We have a newly equipped fitness room for adults.
Bucks Farm has a selection of animals including sheep, chickens, ducks and goats, rabbits and guinea-pigs. Children are welcome to help feed the animals and collect the chicken and duck eggs.
There are lots of places of interest within easy driving distance, including the delightful resorts of Southwold and Aldeburgh. The famous Snape Maltings concert hall, the steam museum and gardens of Bressingham and the medieval castles of Framlingham and Orford. Other daytrips from Bucks farm include Africa Alive, Bewilderwood, The Oasis Camel Centre and Norfolk Snowsports Club. Also within reach are the bright lights of Great Yarmouth, the thrills of the Pleasurewood Hills theme park and the shops and many other attractions of historic Norwich.
