Nestling in the Stour valley this 18th century Warwickshire water mill provides a tranquil escape for short or long self-catering holiday breaks. Puddle Cottage is located to the south of Stratford-upon-Avon at the edge of the Cotswold Hills and is well placed for exploring Shakespeare Country. Set in the quiet village of Tredington, Puddle Cottage has river-front access, stunning views, and a four-star rating from Quality in Tourism. This part of England is famed for its beautiful landscape and pretty stone-walled villages, many of which have historic churches and pubs

French windows open onto a courtyard garden with a table and chairs - the perfect spot to catch the sun and enjoy an evening drink with an unspoilt view of the river and its island, teeming with wildlife just a few feet away. The mill stream means that Puddle Cottage is not suitable for unsupervised children, but well behaved pets are welcome.

The centrally-heated, accommodation retains many original features including exposed beams. It is on three floors. There is a fully fitted kitchen (electric hob and oven) with microwave and dishwasher, a dining area seating four, and lounge space with a widescreen TV on the ground floor. The first floor has a double bedroom with a separate shower room/ WC. On the top floor, there is a twin/double bedroom, connecting to an en-suite bathroom, with a shower over the bath. Free Wi-Fi is provided.

Puddle Cottage is available for long and short stays. Changeover is on Fridays for weekly and weekend breaks. Mid-week breaks are Monday to Friday. Please do ask if you have any special dates that need accommodating. When possible we are happy to be flexible.

This historic mill is in a spectacularly beautiful part of the River Stour. It is built over the mill stream which forms a charming island. There's a weir, a remarkable weeping willow, and visiting wildlife includes swans, kingfishers, herons, and even the occasional otter. It's all in the conservation area of Tredington, a peaceful Warwickshire village surrounded by quiet countryside and Cotswold Hill walks. There is a mediaeval church filled with reminders of centuries of history, remarkable period architecture and a children's playground.
