Tyas Cottage is situated in the hamlet of Merrydale near Slaithwaite, offering a cosy self catering holiday home for up to 6 people. Nestled in a secluded valley, we are ideal for a magical getaway in Yorkshire.

Our wonderful cottage offers quality furnishings, including many antiques, plus modern facilities. A spacious living room upstairs comes with a toasty wood burner, TV and fabulous beams. From here there is a door that leads onto the private balcony above the terrace with seating, offering a great spot for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun.

The downstairs kitchen is well-equipped with a range of appliances for home dining and is often used as a second living room. The underfloor heating will keep you toasty in the winter months and the dining table seats 8.

Upstairs there is a Georgian mahogany 4 poster bed in the master room, offering a carved ceiling and en suite facilities. A twin en suite room is also available. A further downstairs twin and bathroom are available.

Despite its secluded setting, Tyas Cottage is very close to numerous attractions, as well, of course, the moors and Pennine Way. The holiday cottage is well suited for hiking and bird watching as there are many local walks on open moors or in sheltered valleys. Our holiday home is 7 miles from Huddersfield & 11 from Halifax, West Yorkshire. Titanic Spa, with its superb range of facilities, is only 2.5 miles away.
