Holme Valley Camping & Caravan Park in Thongsbridge is the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life. We are set in a gorgeous corner of the valley on the edge of the Peak District near Holmfirth, a true paradise for outdoor lovers. Further afield you can visit lots of excellent attractions in West Yorkshire.

Our scenic park is surrounded by 16 acres of woodland and meadows, making us a great base for exploring the great outdoors. You can admire the abundance of wildlife in the area, from squirrels in the woods to ducks on the small lake and herons, plus dippers and kingfishers on the river.

We are a great place to stay for campers and tourers, whilst also offering glamping facilities for those who fancy a touch of luxury. We have 4 camping cabins 1 glamping cabin to choose for, plus a new Gingerbread Cabin and Fern Dome.

Camping Cabins – Sleep 5: These four camping cabins are nestled on the top field on the edge of the woodland. All of the camping cabin comes with a double bed with a single over and bunk beds, table with chairs, kitchen area, lighting and electric. Outside there is an extended deck and a picnic bench for al fresco dining whilst savouring your surroundings. Please note that Cabins Oak and Birch don’t accept pets.

Glamping Cabin Willow: Our wonderful cabin is set on the pondside, perfect for a romantic getaway in an idyllic location. The cabin comes with lighting, electricity and heating, plus an en suite shower room. There is a double bed with a single over, table with 3 chairs and a kitchen area. Outside there is an extended deck and picnic bench, a lovely spot for a morning coffee whilst enjoying the fabulous view.

Onsite we have superb family bathrooms. This new award-winning amenities block includes underfloor heating, spacious showers, a vanity area with hair dryers and baby changing facilities. 3 large family bathrooms (of which one is provided with a Gingerbread Cabin) offers a more lavish experience and are available to hire daily. Both have facilities for wheelchair users.

Our small, licensed shop is well stocked with lots of essentials, from bread to baked beans and much more. We also have a useful laundry room and two washing up areas, as well as chemical toilet disposal points.

We are only a mile from Holmfirth, home to interesting shops, cafes and restaurants. This charming town offers a range of events throughout the year and the Picturedrome regularly hosts famous bands. Within 30 minutes is Eureka! (The National Children’s Museum,) Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Cannon Hall and Farm, Kirklees Light Railway, The National Mining Museum and Hepworth Gallery. The area is also great for walkers, horse riders and cyclists. Several canal towpaths for keen cyclists are in the surrounding area, including ones at Marsden, Slaithwaite, Milnsbridge and Golcar.
