An Taigh Clach offers stunning self catering accommodation in Carloway. Our holiday home on the Isle of Lewis boasts spectacular views of open countryside, making us ideal for a tranquil break away. We are the perfect base for exploring the Western Isles.

Our traditional croft house is in a remote and relaxing location. This beautifully converted property comes with all the comforts expected of high quality accommodation. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area will suit all your needs. The living area comes with comfy sofas, wide screen TV with DVD player and multi fuel stove. From here you can savour the breathtaking views of open countryside. The fully equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances to suit all your needs: electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine/dryer. The dining table seats up to 4 people.

Our two lovely bedrooms are perfect for a good night’s sleep. We have one double and one twin room with solid oak floors. All bed linen and towels are provided. Both rooms share a shower room which comes with a large shower and locally produced hand made natural soap.

We have a utility shed which is perfect for surfing or weather gear. Outside there is also a BBQ.

This crofting township is surrounded by hill lochs which is teeming with wild brown trout. Salmon fishing is also available locally on the Carloway Angling Association waters of the River Carloway and the feeder lochs of Laxavat Ard and Laxavat Iorach.
