Details

Long Cover, Coach House Cottage and Ebony Cottage offers lovely self catering accommodation located in beautiful rural Worcestershire just outside of Tenbury Wells. Our holiday cottages are the perfect retreat for a country break with your dog!

Long Cover Cottage can accommodate up to six guests and has a Gold Award from Visit England. Generous windows flood rooms with light, which bounces off polished elm floorboards; a woodburner and Aga keep things cosy, the kitchen is handcrafted, the views are long and bucolic. Upstairs, bedrooms are brass bedded and floral, tucked under the eaves in that cottagey way. You get a handy loo and basin up here, a sparkling bathroom with a roll top tub downstairs. Lucky children have seven acres to romp in and a secret treehouse complete with hammocks and barbecue for midnight feasts.

The Coach House can accommodation two guests. Inside its open plan and easy. Settle on the weighty leather chesterfield, toes directed at a woodburner stacked high with logs from the nearby woods. The kitchen, of hand crafted oak, has masses of space, a double Belfast sink and proper wooden floorboards throughout. Exposed beams frame the bright bedroom; the shower room is a step away. It would be a treat of an evening to follow the babbling brook through the ancient orchid dotted woodland, rest awhile at the owner’s perfect little treehouse (with hammocks), then retire to your own private viewpoint with its picture postcard views across open pastures to the Teme and Kyre valleys.

Ebony Cottage is a beautiful hand crafted cottage for 2. It sits in the unspoilt rolling countryside and was built entirely out of locally sourced stone, oak and handcrafted leaded light windows. Inside you will find that it is full of charm and character. The kitchen is well equipped, open plan and nestled around the Aga, the floor is made out of natural stone with underfloor heating. As you climb up the oak staircase you will be met by an open plan bedroom, dressing room overlooking the sitting room below from the galleried landing. It would be a treat of an evening to follow the babbling brook through the ancient orchid-dotted woodland.

Our holiday homes set in tranquil and unspoilt UK countryside of the Worcestershire, Herefordshire and South Shropshire borders. And yet we are no more than three hours motorway driving from the major cities in England (UK). There is plenty to do within easy reach - the lovely Georgian town of Ludlow with its world class restaurants, festival and antiques, Hay-on-Wye, the town of books, West Midlands Safari Park, the Severn Valley Railway, Eastnor Castle and much more.

For walkers, a network of paths and bridleways lead directly from the cottage and there are innumerable delightful walks nearby (including the Mortimer Trail). For those who enjoy the finer things in life, Ludlow offers a range or world class restaurants and a superb Festival, as does Hay-on-Wye, the Town of Books. If you are looking for more active pursuits, why not try cycling, fishing, riding, rally driving or even paragliding.
