Wetnose Animal Aid

Kirby Cane, Bungay, Norfolk

Wetnose Animal Aid has been raising funds for rescue animal centres throughout the UK for over 19 years. As the number of animals needing homes increases, it is important to ensure that there is a plan in place to try and find animals their forever home and ensuring that those animals that do come into our care are well looked after.

As a non-profit organisation, we raise funds through sponsorship, donations, events and social media. These funds are then distributed to support lesser known rescue centres and individuals who rescue and provide care for vulnerable animals. We receive no government or other funding; our work is actioned purely through donations and support from the public.

The number of stray or abandoned dogs in the UK reaches over 111,000 a year which is unbelievable in itself. That means 21 dogs are put down every day. In addition to this, there is also the number of wild animals that are hurt or injured on the roadside or found in peoples gardens that are sick, badly treated, neglected or breed for money. Rescue centres will look after them and try to find them a new loving home or release them back into the wild when they are better.
