Hearthstanes Estate is home to a collection of pet friendly steading cottage conversions, located in a lovely part of Lanarkshire at Tweedsmuir near Biggar. Our holiday homes are all tastefully finished and are ideal for those who want to explore this beautiful part of Scotland. Stalking and fishing are also both available on site.
For three decades, we have been generating our own hydroelectricity, which powers the whole farm and provides clean energy for lighting and heating to the Steading.

Cyfannedd Fach is a 250 year old stone mountain cottage situated within the Snowdonia National Park, near Arthog (seven miles from Dolgellau) in the part of Gwynedd that was formerly Merionethshire. It stands on its own, 700 feet above the sea in the western foothills of Cader Idris, half a mile from the nearest inhabited house. From just behind the cottage there are magnificent views of the Mawddach estuary, Barmouth and the North Wales coast - the Lleyn Peninsula and Bardsey island. The cottage is about half an hour's drive from Dolgellau along the mountain road past the Creggennen lakes - seven miles and about nine gates.

Each cottage sits in its own fenced and gated garden offering guests a high level of privacy, yet with the rest of Darrynane and beyond available for them to explore.
Darrynane itself offers woods, waterfalls and streams and guests are free to wander around and picnic in the grounds if they so wish.
