Manor Holding Cottage is a Grade II Listed, half-timbered, Jacobean cottage farmhouse built around 1680, using second-hand timbers from a nearby manor house. The cottage's old-world charm is enhanced by a crooked timber frame, leaning walls and low beams.
The cottage is naturally warm and full of sunlight, set off by white painted walls, pale terracotta and oak floor enhanced by invisible 24/7 under-floor central heating. It is south facing with an enclosed, sheltered front garden and lawns, embracing an intimate, suntrap patio paved in antique bricks.
The farmyard, terminus of the drive, is at the back, on the north side of the cottage. It is surrounded by a ruined stone and brick pigsty, a small converted barn, a high hedge bank, a stone outhouse undergoing renovation and a matching stone scullery leading off the east gable of the cottage.

Our farm is just a short distance from the centre of Aberdare in Glamorgan. We offer the finest selection of personally inspected holiday cottages throughout Aberdare. Access to the farm is via a drive which sweeps up and away from the cottages of Cwmbach to a position of elevated tranquillity. Behind the farm is a three acre broadleaf wood and open fields which border the 'nant' (stream) which supplies our water. Higher Bruckland Farm is a 16th Century farmhouse on 300 acres of land located in the small village of Musbury which lies on the route of the East Devon Way. The farmhouse provides pet friendly bed and breakfast accommodation just 13 minutes outside of Axminster.
Our accommodation is based at our family farm and you are welcome to wander around the farm, help with the calves or feed the chickens. The B&B has many original features including an inglenook fireplace and wood burner in the lounge.
